2023 Napa Valley Pinot Noir

Vineyard Notes: Stewart Ranch in Napa Carneros is a cool climate site, windy from immediate proximity to the San Pablo Bay. Pommard and 115 Clone Pinot Noir make up the finished wine. Plenty of winter rain, late bud break and long cool summer made for lovely growing conditions and late harvest. The Pommard was harvested 9/21, and the 115 was harvested 9/25.

Winemaker Notes: Aged in 40% new French oak barrels for 11 months. Garnet in color. Rich, expressive nose of ripe plum, orange peel, sassafras tea and blackberry pie. Background notes of raspberry, mint and spice box. Velvety mouthful of ripe red berries & plum. A bit of toasty oak lingers on a long, lean finish. 14.3% alc. 56 cases made.
